What is the Pomodoro Timer?
The Pomodoro Timer implements the Pomodoro Technique, a time-management method that alternates focused work sessions with short breaks to improve concentration and avoid burnout. By default it runs the classic 25-minute focus period followed by a 5-minute break, but both intervals are fully configurable to match your own workflow. When a session ends, the timer automatically switches modes and, if you've allowed notifications, sends a browser alert so you don't need to keep the tab in focus to know when it's time to switch.
How to use it
Adjust the focus and break durations if you want something other than the 25/5 default, then click 'Start' to begin the timer. Allow browser notifications when prompted so you get an alert even if you switch tabs. When a session ends, the timer automatically flips between focus and break mode and keeps running; use 'Pause' and 'Reset' to control it manually at any time.
